Alzheimer's Association Safe Return Program

Established in 1993, the Alzheimer's Association Safe Return Program is the only nationwide program that assists in the identification and safe, timely return of individuals with Alzheimer's disease or other dementia who wander off and become lost. The program now has over 54,000 registrants, reaching its major milestone last year.

For a one-time fee of $40, Safe Return Program registrants receive a stainless steel identification bracelet or necklace, clothing labels and wallet cards. These identification products are inscribed with the Safe Return 24-hr crisis number and alert others that the individual is memory-impaired and may need assistance. To date, Safe Return has helped locate and return more than 3,700 registrants to their families and caregivers nationally.

For more information on the Alzheimer's Association Safe Return Program or Alzheimer's Disease, please call the Alzheimer's Association at 800-273-3900 or visit http://www.atz.org.
